Behind the many figures every day different institutions offer on poverty, there are real people with names that witnesses often remain invisible in the eyes of our society. In order to present these realities, Caritas Diocese of Barcelona presents, together with Roots Foundation and the Center for the Study of Christianity and justice-the "Contest of short documentaries on poverty and social exclusion." This contest is open to young visual artists and those who are still forming and have an interest in social issues. Age participation is between 18 and 30 years. We assess that the films presented also reflect real situations and stories, culinary fruits have a critical eye toward the structural causes of poverty and exclusion. Movies candidates must be original, lasting between 5 and 10 minutes, and should culinary fruits meet one or more of the following questions: Can you live with a Minimum Insertion Income? I'm 45 and I just stayed unemployed. What future awaits me? I can live with dignity in this country if I am abroad / to and I have no job? The economic crisis is lower-class middle class? Where us the loss of social rights? The deadline is Thursday short of 27 February 2014. The 10 finalist films will be announced on March 27 and will compete for 1st, 2nd or 3rd prize.
