When research creative food presentation examples of still life photography Andy Grimshaw was a photographer creative food presentation that stood out for me. I like how he does original photographs such as the flowers and onions creative food presentation shown in the image about but does more modern things such as make up and broken glass. I particularly like the image of the onions as the composition and lighting work really well together to give an strong, effective still life image. I also like how the colour is produced in this image and think it would be interesting to see this image in black and white to see what tones are captured. After researching this artist i would now consider colour as well but would need to see how my object would look in this style. I like the idea of having multiple objects the same as i think this gives a good effect and placed correctly gives a strong composition. I want my images to be taken on a black back drop as i think these images look more effective than on the white. I prefer the original style of object rather than a modern material such as make up. Looking at this photographer has helped me with some ideas for my own work that i didn’t creative food presentation think of before. I think his work is very effective in the way he uses lighting and composition.
